The draft Master Plan for the Dumaresq Creeklands was due to be released for comment following the last meeting of Armidale Regional Council on October 24, 2018.
As the draft Master Plan was NOT released following Council’s meeting - no explanation has yet been received - the agenda for our public meeting will be somewhat changed:
Review recent events and the decision by Council NOT to release the draft Master Plan for community consultation at its October meeting
Explore a range of actions that might be taken by our association in the short, medium and long term
Develop a timeline to create a single comprehensive Vision that will become our primary focus for future actions
Discuss ways in which our association might seek funding and support which will enable us to more effectively reach our goals
Seek volunteers to help
Invite those members of the public attending (who agree with our aim) to join us as financial members
The date, time and venue for the meeting remain unchanged.
Please note that this meeting is NOT organised by Council - we are a not-for-profit community group whose members have lived in Armidale for a cumulative total of more than 1000 years. We care about our creeklands and think that, with careful planning, they could be the ‘jewel in the crown’ of Armidale. Our interests are broad, long-term and our passion is for ‘Visionary’ ideas and concepts - especially those which incorporate water features.
We would welcome your ideas and look forward to discussing a wide range of views on the night. It will provide an opportunity to meet members of the association and interested members of the public.
Let’s make sure that all of the community’s views are put forward - please let your friends know about this important opportunity for our community to make its voices heard.
